FAQ

Why is the SILC and Champittet Summer Leadership Camp no longer held at College Champittet?

The SILC camp is no longer held at College Champittet due to our focus on offering boutique learning experiences that better align with the values and goals of SILC academy. This includes smaller camp sizes allowing us to maintain a strong leadership development programme. Our camp offerings have expanded to a new campus at Les Roches, in Crans Montana as well as continuing our renowned Gstaad Leadership Camp.

What makes the new campuses at Les Roches and Gstaad unique compared to Champittet?

Our new location at Les Roches has allowed us to introduce additional opportunities, such as enhanced networking with local organisations and new adventure activities, making the experience even more impactful. While the settings have changed, the core principles of our curriculum remain the same, with an additional comfort provided by our boutique locations. Our focus on leadership, entrepreneurship, and teamwork continues to guide every aspect of the programme. We also continue our popular signature Gstaad Summer Leadership Camp in Switzerland.

What other camps does SILC Academy offer?

Alongside our Swiss camps in Crans Montana and Gstaad, SILC Academy offers two boutique camps in France. The Sea & Island Adventure Camp in Corsica is a 2-week adventure on a catamaran sailing around the beautiful island. Our Creative and Entrepreneurial Camp in the South of  France offers an opportunity for students to unleash their creative spirits through professionally-led workshops combined with outdoor adventures. Whether in Switzerland or France, our camps create lifelong memories and connections with peers from all over the world.

Will there be any changes to the camp curriculum or experience?

Our new location at Les Roches has allowed us to introduce additional opportunities, such as enhanced networking with local organisations and new adventure activities, making the experience even more impactful. While the settings have changed, the core principles of our curriculum remain the same, with an additional comfort provided by our boutique locations. Summer Camps in Switzerland: Student Leadership

Leadership skills are developed through fun and challenging outdoor activities. Our main goal is for students to have the time of their lives while learning at the same time and experiencing Switzerland.

Our international team of senior trainers facilitate students’ development of communication skills, goal setting, time management techniques, teamwork, and many other important life skills.

Our camps are open to all students aged 11 to 17 and is suitable to all fitness and experience levels!

Students also learn about “savoir vivre” and etiquette, and have the opportunity to participate in a variety of workshops such as first aid training, outdoor and leadership workshops while learning to work more effectively in teams.

Highly experienced experts, trainers and guides take students through fun challenges, workshops, games and outdoor activities in a breath-taking mountain setting of the Swiss outdoors. Participants will receive feedback at the end of each activity as well as a certificate and Personal Action Plan at the end of the camp.

Our Campuses

Our campuses all have beautiful settings surrounded by nature, mountains and breathtaking views. They are always in a safe and stimulating environment, where students can have an adventurous experience with their peers.
