Summer Camp with amazing activities by Lake Geneva in Lausanne, Switzerland

Summer Camp in Switzerland: Student Leadership

Leadership skills are developed throughout camp through fun and challenging outdoor activities. Our main goal is for students to have the time of their lives while learning at the same time and experiencing Switzerland.

Our international team of senior trainers facilitate students’ development of communication skills, goal setting, time management techniques, teamwork, and many other important life skills.

Our camp is open to all students aged 11 to 17 and is suitable to all fitness and experience levels!

Students will also learn about “savoir vivre” and etiquette, and have the opportunity to participate in a variety of workshops such as first aid training, dancing, outdoor and media workshops while learning to work more effectively in teams.

Highly experienced experts, trainers and guides take students through fun challenges, workshops, games and outdoor activities in a breath-taking mountain setting of the Swiss outdoors. Participants will receive feedback at the end of each activity as well as a certificate and Personal Action Plan at the end of the camp.

Our Campus in Lausanne

The campus of Collège Champittet is located in Pully, Lausanne, a beautiful setting by the shores of Lake Geneva. It is a safe and stimulating environment just steps from the Olympic Museum, and not far from the centre of Lausanne.

The 40.000m2 campus provides students with an ideal environment combining sports, nature, activities and culture. Our campus offers a small family environment with access to excellent facilities for our students. We are based just 2-minutes by foot from Lake Geneva, providing your child with an inspiring place to live and learn.

Within the school grounds students also have access to excellent sporting facilities, such as sports pitches, tennis courts, a running track and a gym which we happily use for some of the activities at camp.

Our experienced and international training team has all the expertise required to manage the SILC summer camp with great care, passion, attention for detail, operational excellence and safety.

We are dedicated to the highest standards to create a wonderful learning experience and to look after the health, safety and well-being of students. We give all the support needed to ensure students are safe, enjoy their time and perform at the best of their abilities.

We only work in suitable conditions and we are well informed of any weather condition changes. When needed, we modify the programme of the day according to the weather conditions.

Senior Team & Professional mountain guides

Our staff has extensive experience working with students from international schools around the world through our school workshops, school camps, summer and winter camps, webinars and student leadership conferences. They are a unique international melting pot of passionate, committed and highly experienced experts in the field of leadership, coaching, and consulting, coming together in Switzerland and each bringing their own expertise to our selection of modules.

All trainers who manage and run the Student Leadership Series are part of our international and multilingual senior training team, have full DBS checks, hold Child Protection Certificates from the Educational Collaborate for International Schools (ECIS), and are First Aid & CPR trained.

Depending on the activity, the guide to student ratio is 1:6 or 1:12. Including all trainers, staff, camp and activity managers, mountain guides and boarding staff, the ratio is 1:5 or lower. Trainers participate in activities to assist in the development of leadership skills and to facilitate the learning experience.

FAQ

Why is the SILC and Champittet Summer Leadership Camp no longer held at College Champittet?
The SILC and Champittet camp is no longer held at College Champittet due to our focus on offering enhanced and boutique learning experiences at new locations that better align with the values and goals of SILC Academy. We’ve expanded our camps to a new campus in Les Roches, allowing us to maintain our leadership development programs while providing students with a broader range of outdoor adventures and personal growth opportunities.

Where are the new locations for SILC Academy camps?
Our new SILC Academy camps are held in two stunning locations in Switzerland: Gstaad, a picturesque region in the Swiss Alps, and Les Roches, known for its vibrant learning environment. Additionally, we also offer summer camps in Cannes, France, and Corsica, allowing participants to enjoy a variety of unique, leadership-focused experiences across Europe. (We add all the links to the camps)

What differences can I expect between the Champittet camp and the new camp at Les Roches?
While both camps are grounded in leadership development, our new camp at Les Roches takes advantage of a more dynamic and interactive campus environment, offering students a broader range of activities, workshops, and mentorship opportunities. Les Roches focuses more on integrating leadership skills with entrepreneurial thinking and creative problem-solving, which enhances both personal growth and practical skillsets.

What makes SILC Academy’s camps unique compared to others?
SILC Academy stands out for its focus on leadership, personal development, and a diverse set of outdoor activities. Each camp offers tailor-made leadership modules designed to challenge students, push their boundaries, and foster essential skills like teamwork, communication, and global citizenship.
